

Born June 30, 1922 in Iredell County, he was the son of the late Samuel McMurray Morrow and Lillie Eller Morrow.
Mr. Morrow graduated from Celeste Henkel High School and served in the United States Army. He retired from Fredrickson Motor Express after 30 years of service.
Pete was of the Baptist faith, and enjoyed the Atlanta Braves baseball, reading, fishing, and hunting. After his retirement, he enjoyed travel across the country with his wife. He was a loving husband, father, and friend.
In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death on May 18, 2011 by his loving wife Shirley Reavis Morrow, whom he married on October 12, 1951; one sister, Carmen Holler; two brothers, Ken Morrow and Guy Morrow; his son-in-law Ronald Alexander and one grandson, Aaron Lyle Morrow.
Those left to cherish his memory are his children, Susan Alexander and Jeffrey (Tamara) Morrow; grandchildren, Ross Alexander and Kayla Morrow; sister, Treva (Neal) Wooten; a sister-in-law, Colleen Morrow and several nieces and nephews.
A graveside service will he held on Saturday, May 2, 2015 at 3:00 PM at Iredell Memorial Gardens with Rev. Charles Morrow officiating. The family will speak to friends and family following the service.
In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Gordon Hospice House 2347 Simonton Road Statesville, NC 28625.
