
Born April 19, 1925 in Iredell County, she was the daughter of the late Samuel Jackson Woods and Ada Shoemaker Woods.
Hazel was a member of Bethlehem United Methodist Church. She was educated in the Iredell County Schools and retired after many years of service from The Home Bakery in downtown Statesville.
Hazel was preceded in death by her parents; four brothers, Gordon Woods, Joseph Woods, Clement Woods, and R.J. Woods and four sisters, Pauline Herrin, Doris Little, Coleen Brewer, and Helen Poole. Her husband, Ray H. Moose, whom she married in July of 1945, also preceded her in 1991.
Left to cherish her memory is her daughter, Vicki Moose of Statesville, and numerous nieces and nephews.
Receiving of family and friends will be held Tuesday, November 25, 2014 from 6:00 PM – 8:00 PM at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home. Burial services will be held privately with the Rev. Cowles Bristol officiating.

Vicki would like to extend her heartfelt appreciation and gratitude to Pam Sheets for her care she gave and to Rev. Cowles Bristol for his many prayers and visits during Hazel’s declining health.
