Ilene Frankie Radford Trent

She was born January 20, 1928, in Beckley, West Virginia, and was formerly employed at Leonard Manufacturing Company of Statesville. She was married to Smith E. Trent, Jr. for 52 years who preceded her in death on December 6, 2001.

In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by a son, Stephen Bradley Trent and an adopted daughter, Denise Dilday.

She is survived by a son, Smith Edward Trent III of Statesville; two daughters, Ilar Audrey Woods of Statesville and Patsy Keziah of Monroe; eleven grandchildren; and 24 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services celebrating Ilene’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Friday, December 7, 2012, in the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends from 1:00 to 2:00 PM Friday at the funeral home prior to the service.
