Rev. James David Reep

He was born February 6, 1945, in Rutherford County, and was the son of the late Ray and Ann Newton Reep. He was a minister for over 40 years and retired as a United Methodist minister in the Western N.C. Conference.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his sister, Shirley Cash; one brother, Michael Reep; and three grandchildren.

The Rev. Reep is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Faye Harris Reep of the home; one daughter, Amanda Reep (Kyle) Mitchell of Blythewood, SC; two sons, David Shawn (Debbie) Reep of Wesley Chapel, NC, and John Mark (Michelle) Reep, of Troutman; seven grandchildren, Zeke, Zoe, Zaria and Zane of Wesley Chapel, and Dustin, Caleb, and Jack of Troutman.

A memorial service to celebrate David’s life will be held at 2:00 PM Saturday, May 30, 2015, at Beulah Heights Wesleyan Church with the Revs. Trent Patterson and David Noyles officiating.

The family will speak with friends at the church immediately following the service.
