He was born on February 12, 1937 in Statesville to the late James Emmitt Hope and Juanita Sharpe Hope. He served in the United States Army and was a brick mason by trade.
Bob was a member of Rose Chapel United Methodist Church and a former member of Ebenezer Volunteer Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife of 51 years, Coleen Reves Hope and one daughter, Millicent Hope.
The family will receive friends in the fellowship hall of Rose Chapel United Methodist Church Saturday, June 28, 2014 from 3:00 PM – 4:00 PM. A Memorial service will begin at 4:00 PM in the sanctuary with the Rev. Ralph Lepley and Rev. Lynne Lepley officiating.
