

Judy Virginia Ann Roseboro was born in Portsmouth, Virginia on Sunday, May 10th, 1953 to the late MJ Roseboro and Louise Randall. She passed away at Iredell Memorial Hospital on Saturday, May 10th, 2025 following an unexpected illness.
She was a 1970 graduate of Woodrow Wilson High School in Portsmouth, Virginia. She attended Mitchell Community College and received her LPN license in 1976 and received her RN Degree from CVTC in Hickory, NC. Judy was a dedicated wife, mother and grandmother with an extreme passion for nursing. She worked tirelessly to elevate in her career. She was the ADON at Brian Center in Statesville and eventually became the DON at Brian Center in Concord. She combined her love for traveling and nursing and became a traveling ED nurse trainer. She traveled around the country until settling in San Luis Obispo, California upon her retirement.
She was preceded in death by her sister; Sylvia Jennings, a nephew; Marvin Roseboro and her ex-husband Walter L. Reid.
Judy leaves to cherish the memory of her life, her children; Tanis (Anthony) Dawkins and Theo (Colleen) Reid of Jacksonville, FL. Also, her grandchildren; Ashanti Dalton, Jordan Reid, Aaron Cole, Makala Reid, Jordan Harmon and Xavier Sanchez and great grandchildren Josiah Riddick-Reid, Malani Purvis, Elijah Harmon and James Anthony Reid along with a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and other relatives and friends.
A quiet hour and receiving of friends will be held on Saturday, May 17, 2025 from 12:00 p.m. until 12:30 p.m. at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home. A service to celebrate Miss Judy's life will follow at 12:30 p.m. in the funeral home chapel, with Rev. Henry Steele Officiating and Elder Wade Ikard, Eulogist.
