Lanny James Warren

Born on June 23, 1942 in Iredell County, he was the son to the late James Aaron and Helen Rose Barkley Warren. Lanny was a loving and caring husband, father, grandfather, brother and friend. Lanny enjoyed being outdoors, fishing and loved NASCAR. He was a proud member of NRA.

Left to cherish his memory are his wife, Vonda Warren; children, Catherine (Kenneth) Powers and Christopher (Brittany) Warren; step-children, Angie (DJ) Marshall, Greg Lackey and Steve (Courtney) Lackey; grandchildren, Elijah (Jacqueline) Kent, Briana Kent, Zachary Benge, Michael Powers, Cody Powers, Vivienne Warren and Maylea Lackey; brother, David (Katie) Warren; sister, Anne (Chuck) Harris; aunts, Margaret Dickens and Linda Barkley and two nieces Angela Moore and Jennifer Warren.

A celebration of life service will be held on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at 2pm in the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home with Pastor David Warren officiating.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be made to Iredell County Hospice and Palliative Care, 2341 Simonton Road, Statesville, NC 28625 or the American Heart Association.
