He is continuously held in love by his wife, Kaelen Conlee of Statesville; his parents, Hugo and Heather Amezaga of Statesville; his younger brother, Ethan Amezaga of Statesville; and his older sister, Ashley Amezaga of Greensboro.
Liam navigated life with an insatiable curiosity about the world that once surrounded him as he sought to understand the mechanisms behind it all. From his youth, he approached the essence of existence as a carefully orchestrated puzzle that stimulated his desire to comprehend it with awe. Liam fixated on the workings of electronics and was cognisant of human behaviors. Occasionally, he would not rest until he thoroughly understood the topic or subject he focused on. At nine, Liam diagnosed a broken monitor by identifying a blown capacitor and reviving its function. This remarkable attribute within his personality exemplified how he "revived" and nurtured people throughout his life.
Liam's childhood was often spent socializing with his siblings as they collected rocks, caught frogs and bugs, and ventured into neighborhood wooded areas and trails in parks together. He was especially fond of the earth's quietness and was attuned to the beauty in motion that it created. Later in his adolescence, he captured time-lapse footage of creeks, clouds, and even the happenings of underwater activity to show others the wonders of nature.
For a little over a decade, Liam was devoted to his pet lizard, Lizzy, from 2012 to 2023. Lizzy was an extension of him; he readily showed her off to friends and often brought her in to socialize with the rest of the family. He nurtured her with much care and love and was very proud and grateful to have her.
Liam radiated a goofiness about him that made others feel safe being as they were. A subtly profound generosity also accompanied his playful attitude about life. He showed his love through his presence and distributed his nutrition knowledge, making vegan meals, cold brew, and tea for others and showing up in need for others.
Liam was very considerate and conscious of the natural experience of human suffering as he assisted those in need and others experiencing discomfort. He ensured that no one had to endure this pain alone by providing his presence and advice. His compassion embodied his moral compass as he lived honoring all beings, so much so that most of his life was spent as a vegan.
To understand Liam was to acknowledge a being that gave out his heart more to the world than containing it within himself. The unfortunate briefness of his life and his mark will perpetually live through the people he once knew; however, the unconditional love he provided to those in his life is irreplaceable. Liam's very essence of his soul was curious, deeply loving, and, above all, independent.
