Lonnie Mace White Sr.

He was born June 1, 1944, in Iredell County, and was a son of the late John Billy and Lonnie Mae Blackburn White. He worked for Davis Upholstery for 25 years and was a member of St. John Baptist Church. He attended Morningside High School and enjoyed gardening, yard work and spending time with his grandchildren. He was a loving husband and father and never met a stranger.

He was preceded in death by a daughter, Alisha Bernadette White; and two brothers, Charles White and Billy White.

On April 21, 1962, he married the former Marjorie Hall who survives; a son, Lonnie M. White, II and his wife, Taneilla Turner White of Statesville; three daughters, Joni Michelle Bailey and her husband, Charles, of Statesville, Donna Lonette Rose and her husband, Darrin, of Roosevelt, New York and Alana Ciemone of Raleigh; a brother, Stanley Eugene White of Statesville; three sisters, Mae Royal Thomas of Statesville, Susan Ann Stevenson of Charlotte and Brenda Sue Lowe of Statesville; and three grandchildren, Jarnell Bailey, Donnavon Rose and Macen White.

Services celebrating Mr. White's life will be conducted at 6:30 PM Monday, February 25, 2013, at St. John Baptist Church with Pastor Burell Brooks officiating. The family will receive friends from 5:30 until 6:25 at the church prior to the service, and at other times will be assembled at the residence.

Pallbearers will be Charles White, James Thomas, Travis White, Leddon Stevenson, Kameron Brown, Kyle Brown and Taylor Brown and Patrick Hall.
