Norma Rena Millsaps

Born in Iredell County on September 14, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Lester Arthur Millsaps, Sr. and Eleanor Watts Millsaps.

Norma was a life member of Zion Chapel AME Zion Church in Hiddenite, where she served as an Usher, Class Leader, Deaconess and a part of the kitchen committee. She loved baking for her family and friends. Some of her hobbies included crafts, floral arranging, sewing and quilting.

Those left to cherish her memory are one brother, Lester Millsaps, Jr. and wife, Edith; two sisters, Connie E. Millsaps and Bessie G. Reid and husband, Herman; and a host of extended family and friends.

Norma will lie in state at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home, Wednesday, December 2, 2020 from 9:00 AM – 4:00 PM. The funeral service will be conducted Thursday, December 3, 2020 at 11:00 AM at Zion Chapel AME Zion Church with Rev. Robin Williams officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.

It is requested that all attending the service please wear a mask and maintain social distancing with the family and each other.
