Odell Bernice Bradley Anderson, 77, of Statesville, laid down her sword and shield by the riverside one last time on Saturday, August 10, 2019 at her residence. A native of Hawkins County, Tennessee, she was the daughter of the late Walter Robert and Dorothy Robbins Bradley. She was retired as a seamstress from Statesville Sportswear and was a member of Union Grove Christian Church.
Mrs. Anderson is survived by her husband of 44 years, Lawrence Anderson. She is also survived by her children, Pamela Hoke (Rocky) of Statesville, Chris Stills (Angela) of Catawba, NC, Lawrence Hugh Anderson II (Sheila) of Nashville, TN and Kimberly Feltham (Raymond P.) of Tampa, FL. Two brothers, R.O Bradley and Russell Bradley of Rockford, Illinois and a sister, Phoebe Stidham of Kingsport, TN survive her along with eight grandchildren: Josh, Ashley, Chasity, Lauren, Brittany, L. Hugh III, Evan and Elyssa. Seven great-grandchildren also survive her.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday evening (August 13) from 5:00 until 7:00 PM. A funeral service conducted by the Rev. Allen Lunsford will follow at 7:00 PM in the Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home. A graveside service will be held at Iredell Memorial Gardens at 10 AM on Wednesday, August 14, 2019.
