Patricia Arndt Jones

Mrs. Patricia Arndt Jones, 73, of 103 4th Ave., N.W., Catawba, died Dec, 25, 2012 at her residence. She was a native of Catawba County, born July 4, 1939 and was the daughter of the late Albert and Lois Sherrill Arndt. Mrs. Jones loved cooking, gardening and especially her grandkids.

She was married to Thomas Alonzo Jones who preceded her in death in 1994. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers: Harold, Donald and Elmer Ray Arndt and one sister: Joann Eades.

Mrs. Jones is survived by three sons: Gary Arndt and his wife Vanessa of Claremont, Terry Jones of Catawba and Danny Jones and his wife Alicia of Conover, one daughter: Gayle Killian of Catawba, seven grandchildren: Devin Jones of Conover, Jarret Jones of Kansas, Michael Mitchell of Hickory, Ashley Arndt of Claremont, Aaron Herman of Conover, Joshua Killian of Catawba and Megan Hearsman of Conover, three great grandchildren: Bryce and Moxon Mitchell both of Hickory and Molly Hearsman of Conover.

Funeral sevices celebrating her life will be held Friday at 3 p.m. at Catawba United Methodist Church with the Rev.

Rich Tuttle officiating. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the church. Interment will follow at Catawba Memorial Gardens in Hickory.
