Born in Royston, GA on March 17, 1937, she was the daughter of the late Rosa Lee Dalton. She was raised by Rosa’s sister, Annie Mattox.
She was also preceded in death by one brother, William Mattox and one sister, Lillian Norman.
Those left to cherish her memory are sister, Priscilla Mattox Bowman; brothers, Ronald Mattox (Norma), Gary Mattox (Deborah) and Eric Mattox; one sister-in-law, Evelyn Mattox; one brother-in-law, Felma Norman; numerous nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
The family will speak to friends from 12:30 – 1:00 PM, Tuesday, July 28, 2015 at First Baptist Church on Garfield Street Statesville, NC with the service following at 1:00 PM.
