Raquel leaves behind a large and loving family: husband; Pedro Hernandez, children: Huriel Solis; Melissa Solis; Vanessa Solis; Katy Solis; Brittany Hernandez; Anthony Hernandez, brother, Ofelio Garcia, sisters: Antonia Garcia; Juanita Garcia; Christina Anselmo; Blanquita Garcia, and several nieces and nephews.
Raquel was a member at St. Philip The Apostle Catholic Church. She grew up playing volleyball before moving to the U.S. She enjoyed spending time with her children and family. Raquel worked really hard to give the best education to her children.
A public visitation will be held Friday, June 24, 2022, from 5-7pm at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home. A funeral mass will be held on Saturday, June 25, 2022, at 11 am, at St. Philip The Apostle Catholic Church. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to the church, or to Hospice of Iredell. Bunch-Johnson is honored to be serving the Garcia family.
