Roby "R.B." Baxter Christopher Jr.

Born February 3, 1927 in Catawba County, he was the son of the late R.B. Christopher, Sr. and Stacy Bost Christopher.

R.B. retired from Carolina Mills as a foreman. He was of the Baptist faith. He loved fishing hunting and gardening.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers; his wife, Frances Cheek Christopher on April 14, 2011 and one great-grandchild.

Those left to cherish his memory are his son, Richard Lee Christopher of Statesville; two daughters, Linda Martin and Judy Ann Jordan, both of Statesville; one brother, Paul Daniel Christopher and one sister, Peggy Douglas. He is also survived by eight grandchildren, fifteen great-grandchildren and one great-great grandchild.

The family will receive friends at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home on Friday, September 11, 2015 from 1:00 PM – 2:00 PM. The funeral service will begin at 2:00 PM in the Westmoreland Chapel with Rev. Tom Lambert officiating. Burial will follow at Iredell Memorial Gardens.
