

Born on September 22, 1926, she was the daughter of the late Charlie R. and Addie Stone Mikels. She graduated from Pleasant Garden High School and Draughn Business College of Winston- Salem. She was formerly Employed at R.J. Reynolds Tobacco Company, The Veteran’s Administration and Mitchell Community College in secretarial work, and later at The Tharpe Company of Statesville.
On October 30, 1948 she married Norman G. (Red) Reavis, and they came to Statesville in 1957, where they raised their two sons. She was active in many church and community activities. She was a member of First Baptist church where she worked in the Nursery for several years. She was formerly a member of Statesville Junior Service League. She was also a member of the Statesville Country Club for many years where she served on the board. She also served as a volunteer at Davis Regional Medical Center. She excelled in golf, being the Club Champion in the Women’s Golf Association for many years. Pat was also a member of the Town and County Garden Club. In addition to golf, her hobbies included bridge, being a Mom and Grandmom.
In addition to her parents, she is preceded in death by her husband of 62 years, Norman Reavis.
Those left to cherish her memory is her two sons, Steven Reavis and Michael (Karen) Reavis; four grandchildren, Gray (Ashley) Reavis, Kelly Reavis, Tyler (Melissa) Reavis and Derek Reavis; one great-grandson, Pace Reavis; special friend and former daughter-in-law, Dodie Reavis; two brothers, Charles (Bobbie) Mikels and Joe Mikels; sisters, Caroleen (Bobby) Whitfield and Nancy (Ezra) Gough and many other loving members.
A funeral service will be held in the Westmoreland Chapel of Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home at 12pm on Wednesday, August 1, 2018.
Burial will be held privately in Oakwood Cemetery.
