

She was born October 19, 1921, in Davie County, and was the daughter of the late Thomas Pinkney and Lela Bell Harris Beck. She was a committed homemaker and faithful member of Hebron Baptist Church. She also enjoyed quilting and farming and was a person devoted to her family, friends, and faith.
She was a long-time resident of Harmony and on February 24, 1940, she married James Espy Mayberry who preceded her in death on December 31, 1998. She was also preceded in death by five brothers, Johnie, Turner, Lee, Roland, and Asbury Beck; and two sisters, Susie Gobble and Maggie Lanier.
Surviving are a number of nieces, nephews and special friends, and a special, loving and devoted niece, Katie Lee Warren of Asheville.
The family will receive friends from 10:00 to 11:00 AM Monday, November 28, 2011, at Hebron Baptist Church and funeral services celebrating Ruby’s life will be held at 11:00 AM Monday at Hebron Baptist Church with the Rev. Darren Johnson and the Rev. William Wease officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
Larry Gobble, Brent Gobble, Scott Gobble, Mark Hager, Todd Goddin and Ronald Goodin will serve as pallbearers.
