Mrs. Ruth Ella Queen Bustle

Mrs. Ruth Ella Queen Bustle, 90, formerly of the New Hope Community, died Wednesday, March 3rd at the Gordon Hospice House. Born in Alexander County on October 17, 1919, she was a daughter of the late C.V. Queen and Bessie Millsaps Queen. Mrs. Bustle was a homemaker and a life long member of Pilgrim Baptist Church. She enjoyed walking, reading and dearly loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren. On October 7, 1940, she married Mr. Richard Thomas Bustle who died on February 6, 1990. She was also preceded in death by a son-in-law, Boyce Cash and sisters: Garnette Campbell, Mildred Mayberry, Mary Jordan, Lona Vinson and Dorothy Queen.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Barbara Wilson and her husband, Hal of Statesville, Mrs. Peggy Hill and her husband, Steve of Mooresville and Mrs. Dorothy Cash of Statesville. Also surviving are grandchildren: Amy W. Stroud, Craig Hill, Richard Cash and Amanda C. Lowrance, along with fourteen great grandchildren.

Services celebrating Mrs. Bustle's life will be conducted at 3:00 P.M. Friday at Pilgrim Baptist Church with Rev. Joey Campbell, Rev. Tom Lambert, and Rev. Perry Link officiating. She will lie in state at the church for thirty minutes prior to the service and burial will follow in the church cemetery. The family will receive friends immediately following the burial in the church fellowship hall. Active pallbearers will be: Donald, Travis, Mack, Brian and Chet Campbell and Wesley Rexrode. Honorary Pallbearers will be: Bobby Nance and J. W. Campbell, Jr.
