Born February 19, 1936 in Iredell County, North Carolina, she was the daughter to the late John Edgar and Etta Renegar Johnson. She was a loving and caring mother and sister. Sallie graduated from Harmony High School in 1954. She was very devoted to Charity Bible Church where she was a charter member.
In addition to her parents she is preceded in death by her husband, Sanford Vestal; sisters, Lucille Joyner, Maragret Barnard and Jessie Neal.
Left to cherish her memory is her son, Garry (Theresa) Vestal; sister, Wanda Turner and Thelma (Lester) Shore; brother-in-law’s, Charlie Barnard and Ray Neal and numerous nieces and nephews.
A celebration of Life service will be held Thursday, March 23, 2017 at 2pm at Charity Bible Church with Pastor Brian Sipes and Kevin Wooten officiating. Burial will follow in the church cemetery.
The family will receive friends from 6-8pm Wednesday, March 22, 2017 at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home.
