Mrs. Stephanie Brown Whitlock

Mrs. Stephanie Brown Whitlock, 37, of 284 Shumaker Dr. Statesville, died Monday unexpectedly in Statesville. Born in Davie County on September 23, 1972, she was a homemaker and a member of Mountain Road Baptist Church, where she sang in the choir and she and her family went on several mission trips.

Survivors include her husband, Bill Whitlock, a son, Josh Whitlock and a daughter, Stacey Whitlock all of the home, her father and step mother, Buck and Penny Brown of Danbury, N.C., her mother and step father, Elaine Zahel and her husband, Hoover, of Davie County, her maternal gradmother, Maggie Hutchens of Davie County, her paternal grandmother, Willie Childers of Westfield, N.C. along with a brother, Rodney Brown of Naomi, Va. and a sister, Scarlett Witherspoon of Statesville.

Services celebrating Stephanie's life will be conducted at 2:00 P.M. Friday at Mountain Road Baptist Church with Rev. Jamie Fox officiating. She will lie in state at the church for thirty minutes prior to the service and burial will follow in the Fairview Baptist Church Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be: Heath Little, Jerrod Little, Jayson Fox, Jack Byers, Neil Hayes and David Hinson. Honorary pallbearers will be members of the Ebenezer Volunteer Fire Department. The family will assemble at the residence of the deceased and will receive friends from 7:00 until 9:00 Thursday evening at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home.
