Tommy graduated from Statesville High School with a golf scholarship to Gardner Webb University. After college, he pursued his career in the golf industry for most of his life. He was also an avid outdoorsman and loved sharing his passion for the outdoors with his children and grandson. Tommy never met a stranger and could talk to anyone, so working at Food Lion over the last few years of his life gave him the opportunity to express his love for people.
He is survived by the mother of his children, Kay Brown, his daughter, Kendall Brown, son, Clay Brown, Grandson, Graceon, Brother, Danny (Nancy) Brown, nephew, Uri Brown, and numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins.
Tommy was proceeded in death by his parents, David and Mafielda Brown.
As his Food Lion family likes to say, “Tommy Brown made a difference!”
The family is inviting those who loved Tommy to drop in from 1pm - 4 pm, on Friday, July 22, 2022, at Bunch-Johnson Funeral home for a time of food and memories.
Fond memories and expressions of sympathy may be shared at www.bunchjohnsonfuneralhome.com for the Brown family.
