Victor Hugh Lytton

Born April 17, 1930 in Longisland, Catawba County, North Carolina he was the son to the late Fred and Zula Christenbery Lytton. Mr. Lytton was a loving and caring father, grandfather and brother. Mr. Lytton graduated as a honor graduate from NC State University in 1953 with a Bachelor's degree in Dairy Husbandry and in 1964 a Master's Degree in Population Genetics/Stats. His whole professional career was devoted to agriculture and dairy herd improvement. Mr. Lytton retired the USDA National Agriculture Research Service after 24 years and from the U.S. Army Reserve as a LTC.

In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by his loving wife of 57 years, Florence Hedrick Lytton; brother, Caleb Lytton; and sisters, Jean Gilleland and Nancy Lackey.

Left to cherish his memory is his son, James Lee Lytton and wife Gloria of Union Grove; daughters, Vickie Lytton of Conover and Nan Lytton of Greensboro; granddaughter, Erin Pate and husband Chad of Wilkesboro; brothers, Wesley Lytton of Statesville and Benny Lytton of Claremont; sisters, Patsy Koutsogeorgas of Charlotte, Sarah Tate of Atlanta, GA, and Libby Long of Statesville and many other loving family members and caregivers.

The family will gather Tuesday, September 27, 2016 from 6-8pm at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home.

A graveside service will be held Thursday, September 29, 2016 at 10 am at the Salisbury National Cemetery.
