William Joseph Lemon

Born in Jersey City, New Jersey on October 27, 1938, he was the son of the late Walter and Viola Lemon. In addition to his parents, he was also preceded in death by one sister, Lorraine Rucco and one grandson, Anthony William Spatafora.

Mr. Lemon worked as a bus driver while living in New Jersey. He was of the Catholic faith. He enjoyed football, baseball and trains.

William was a veteran of the United States Marine Corp.

Those left to cherish his memory are his wife, Genevive Lockwood Lemon of the home; two daughters, Carlene (Brendan) Spatafora of Troutman and Lisa (Jason Morrow) Lemon of Mooresville; one sister, Joan Walsh of New Jersey and grandchildren, Brendan Spatafora, Jr., Kristen Spatafora and Caroline Morrow.

The family will receive friends at Bunch-Johnson Funeral Home Friday, October 7, 2016 from 2:30 Pm – 3:30 PM with the funeral service beginning at 3:30 PM in the Westmoreland Chapel of the funeral home. Burial will be held at Iredell Memorial Gardens.
