Angela Marie Jordan

Angela Marie Jordan, 32, of Waynesboro, formerly of Virginia Beach, passed away at her home on Monday September 24, 2012.

Mrs. Jordan was born on February 3, 1980 in Staunton, VA and was a daughter of Gregory Scott and Colette (Stevenson) Jordan. Angela worked as a technician for ServPro of Virginia Beach for 12 years. She loved spending time with her son Alex, and together they loved going to see movies.

She is preceded in death by one aunt, Deirdre Schartiger.

In addition to her parents, Angela is survived by her son, Jack Alexander Rice; three sisters, Stephanie Ann Jordan, Margaret “Meg” Jordan, and Shannon Jordan, all of Staunton; stepfather Jim Burroughs; maternal grandparents, JoAnn and William Stevenson; two aunts, Janell Shank and husband Mike, Holly Jordan Helm; good friends, Jennifer Stickeley and Stefanie Moss; and numerous cousins. She was preceded in death by her maternal great-grandparents, Mafalda and Peter Palmieri; paternal grandparents, Betty Ann and William Jordan; and paternal great-grandparents; and one aunt Dierdre Schartiger.

A funeral mass will be held on Wednesday September 26, 2012 at 10 AM at St. Francis of Assisi with Father Joseph Wamala officiating. Burial will follow at Thornrose Cemetery. There will be no formal visitation.

Active pallbearers for the service will be Jim Burroughs, Mike Shank, Bryce Johnson, Jennifer Stickeley, and Scott Jordan.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Jack Alexander Rice College Fund, C/O Dupont Community Credit Union.
