William Malcolm Smith Jr

William Malcolm Smith, Jr., 59, of Staunton, passed away unexpectedly on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 at his residence. Born March 28, 1957 in Highland County, he was the son of William Malcolm, Sr. and Margaret Anne Smith. William worked for 25 years as a set-up operator for Cerro Fabricated Productions. In his spare time, he greatly enjoyed fishing and cheering on his favorite team, the Dallas Cowboys. William will be remembered by his family and friends for being a simple country man. Left to cherish his memory, in addition to his parents, are his children, Brandon Smith, Kevin Smith and Cindy Smith all of Grottoes; grandson, Johnathan Smith; brother, Ronnie Smith of Washington; sisters, Karen Hill and Anne Hays and husband, Timmy all of Staunton; as well as numerous extended family and friends. A private family burial will be conducted at Thornrose Cemetery. The family will receive friends from 6:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 31, 2016 at the Staunton Chapel of Reynolds Hamrick Funeral Homes.
