Eva B. Silverio passed away on Sunday, January 22, 2023. She was born on January 12, 1932 in Cuba to her parents Fernanda and Manuel Manresa. Loving wife of the late Miguel M. Silverio. Cherished mother of Miguel Silverio and Xiomara (Paul) Roebuck. She will be missed by her grandchildren Amanda Roebuck and Paula (Andrew) Meyers. She was a proud great-grandmother to Drew and Teresa Meyers.
Eva loved her family more than anything and worked all her life for their benefit. It was with love that drove her and and husband to move from Cuba to the United States. It was in 1971 that she made it through a program run by President Kennedy and Catholic Charities. It meant so much to her that she believed in embracing her new country and became a full citizen in the 1980's.
She was a loving mother and grandmother. Her biggest joy was her family and she loved to cook for them.
She kept herself busy crocheting and making crepe paper flowers. Her biggest joy was when family was together. There are no words to describe the love she had for her family. Eva also enjoyed traveling to many places with her son. Making many happy memories during those times. She was their treasure.
A visitation for Eva will be held Wednesday, January 25, 2023 from 10:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Mount Auburn Funeral Home, 4101 South Oak Park Ave, Stickney, IL 60402.
