Jerry G. Sasek, a long-time resident of Berwyn who also spent time in Wayne, died June 10th, 2023, peacefully in Hines VA Hospital. He was born in Oak Park and was the only son of Mildred Sasek. After serving in United States Army in Germany he returned home and took a job at Fermilab where he worked until retirement. He was the father of Eric (Stephanie) Sasek and grandfather of Joseph.
Jerry enjoyed working on anything mechanical, particularly cars, and could fix almost anything. He is survived by his cousin Christine (Andrew) Mazzarella of Clermont, FL.
Friends and family will gather for funeral services that will be held at Mount Auburn Cemetery on June 14, 2023 at 2pm.
