

Jesús J. Durand, a devoted and humorous gentleman, passed away on January 16, 2026, at the age of 87. Born on June 24, 1938, Jesús was a resident of Cicero, Illinois, known for his faithful and hard-working nature.
In his early life, Jesús was born in Mexico City, where he pursued various interests, including being a bullfighter and a cyclist. He had a particular fondness for cars, especially the Cadillac El Dorado.
In April 1970, Jesús married Oliva, with whom he shared a loving family. He was a devoted father to Aaron Roberto, Rodolfo (married to Belinda), and Carlos Ruben. His legacy extends to his grandchildren: Veronica, Amina Marie, Isabel, Sofia, Melissa Erin, and Michelle Cristina, as well as his great-grandchildren: Liliana, Adrian Charles, and Giovanni Layland.
Jesús was known for his love of dance and was an enthusiastic sports fan. He had a sweet tooth, particularly enjoying Swedish Fish and chocolate.
Visitation will be held at Mount Auburn Funeral Home, located at 4101 South Oak Park Ave, Stickney, IL 60402, on January 21, 2026, from 4:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Family and friends are invited to gather at Mount Auburn Funeral Home at 8:30 a.m. on January 22, 2026, to follow in procession to Our Lady, The Mystical Rose Parish - Mary, Queen of Heaven Catholic Church, located at 5300 24th Street, Cicero, IL 60804, for the Funeral Mass at 10:00 am. The burial will take place at Mount Auburn Memorial Park, 4101 S Oak Park Ave, Stickney, IL 60402.
Jesús J. Durand will be remembered for his honesty, gentle spirit, and the joy he brought to those around him.
