With heavy hearts, we share the news of the passing of Yolanda Medina-Mojica, who passed away on March 27, 2025. Yolanda was born on August 17,1954 in Chicago, Illinois to Soledad Medina. Loving wife of Julio. Beloved mother of Melissa (Josh) Martinez and Julie (Scott) Roldan. Cherished grandmother of Lana, Gavin, Amelia and Isabelle. Dear sister of Michael (Teresa) Medina.
Yolanda was someone who loved life and had a deep appreciation for the smallest things. She was known for her fun and loving personality while demonstrating unconditional love for her family, friends, and especially, her "babies" (grandchildren). There are countless memories of her smiling and laughing while she played with loved ones due to her playful sense of humor.
She was also a compassionate soul who touched countless lives with her generosity and whose heart was open as much as her hands. Those who knew her can easily say she left a mark on them due to her selfless acts and unwavering support. She always used to say, “If I can do it, I will do it” when it came to helping family and friends. There was never a doubt whether you had her support. No words could describe how much she will be missed. We will always cherish the memories she imprinted on us.
Family, friends, and others who lives Yolanda touched are invited to the Memorial service on Friday, April 4, 2025 at 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Mount Auburn Funeral Home, 4101 S. Oak Park Avenue, Stickney, IL 60402 (708) 749-2033.
