Albert Crusselle
6 novembre 1930 – 18 mars 2023

"Albert Willis “Teet” Crusselle was born on November 6, 1930 in Atlanta, GA to Joab and Thelma Crusselle. He was the youngest of four children : two sisters and one brother. He grew up in the Capital Avenue area of Atlanta and attended Smith High School. In his teen years, he became a Christian and attended Southside Baptist Church. After high school, he worked for Yellow Freight System, where he worked for 40 years.
He married his wife, Edna, on September 2, 1951. He and Edna started married life on Linam Ave. in Atlanta. Their daughters, Corliss and Valerie, were born in 1959 and 1962. In 1963 they moved to Conley, Georgia, where they lived until 1993. He and his family were very active in Bouldercrest Baptist Church, where Teet served as a Deacon, and later, an Elder, for that congregation. In 1993, Teet and Edna moved to McDonough, Georgia, and joined Salem Baptist Church. Teet’s hobbies included golfing and music. He loved to sing and participated in many choirs and quartets, and enjoyed all of them.
Teet was a favorite of his daughter’s friends, and a “second dad” to many. He was fun-loving, a jokester, and never met a stranger. Later in life, he and Edna had many adventures with their friends, including cross-country trips with their “besties”, Layton and Dot Kinnard. They also went to England and Scotland. One of his greatest thrills was visiting St. Andrew’s in Scotland, and Pebble Beach in California.
When Corliss married Mark, and when Valerie married Phillip, Dad always said he had the best son-in-laws in the world. He was thrilled to be a grandfather to Zachary, Megan, Connor, and Kelsey. When his grandchildren were married, Gretchen, Niamh, Chelsea, and Todd were embraced by Dad as part of the family. He was over the moon when his great grandchildren, Sadie, Ryker, Emersyn, McKenna, and Lily came into his life.
In his last 3 years, Teet had Alzheimer’s and eventually had to live in a memory care unit. He remained feisty and knew his family until the end of his life.
He will be remembered by all he knew as a great dad, a wonderful grandfather, and a dear friend to many."
