Anita Ann Franklin

She is survived by her parents, Dewey and Mozell Franklin; her children Christy McCombs (Chris) and Kimberly “P-Nut “ Franklin; her bonus children Stacey Coussons (Jason), Ronnie Ross (Marlee), Melissa Bowen (Butch), Regina Winkles (Timmy), Amanda Waters (Danny), Kelly Prater (Derrick) and Brandon Ross (Alicia); her sister ,Janet Wilson (Harold), Brothers , Lee Franklin (Barbie), Paul Franklin; her lifelong friends Vanessa Hall and Ronnie Ross; and several bonus grandchildren who she loved and spoiled dearly. She is preceded in death by her brother Mark Franklin, bonus granddaughter Kiersten Queen (Monkey ) and nephew Brain Franklin

Anita was born on September 27, 1958 in Gainesville, Georgia to Dewey and Mozell Franklin. She grew up in Atlanta, Georgia in the same house her parents currently reside. She spent many years in the car business and could sell an Eskimo ice water. She most recently worked at WalMart where she spent the last 18 years working night shift. Anita loved spending time with her girls. She enjoyed helping put on car shows in Alabama with her daughter, Christy, and loved SnapChatting with her daughter, Kimberly. Her kids and grandkids were the light of her life. She loved any child that came into her life like they were her own. She was fortunate to spend her last year helping to take care of her parents. She was the happiest with her family.

Anita will be deeply missed by all those whose life she touched. A visitation will be held Tuesday, November 30, 2021 from 11:00AM-1:45PM at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home - Fairview Chapel, 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281, with a funeral service at 2:00 PM. The interment will immediately follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens, 164 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281.
