A person who would give you the shirt off her back, Audrey had an open heart and an unwavering desire to help those in need, often giving away everything she had to make sure others were cared for. Her kindness knew no limits, and she was a constant source of love and support to her family, friends, and even strangers.
Audrey was known for her famous homemade biscuits, a treat that was irreplaceable and easily identifiable by all who had the pleasure of sharing them. After retiring from Georgia Tech as a Typist in the Physics Department, she embraced a slower pace of life, but her generosity never slowed down.
She shared her love for the outdoors by spending two wonderful years exploring every state park in Georgia with her daughter, Sherry, creating lifelong memories in nature’s beauty. Every summer, Audrey made Panama City Beach, Florida a place of joy for her entire family. Audrey also found a deep connection to New Orleans. She cherished the town and made it a point to share that love with her family. She took them on trips to New Orleans, regaling them with stories of the town and showing them the places that had left lasting memories in her heart.
Her hobbies, like sewing, crocheting, and reading, reflected her caring nature—whether she was creating something with her hands or diving into a good book, she always did so with a sense of purpose and love. She will be remembered not only for the love she gave but for the way she made everyone feel special and important, always lifting others up with her gentle spirit and unselfish heart.
Audrey will forever be missed, but her legacy of kindness, grace, and selflessness will live on in the hearts of those who were fortunate enough to know her.
In addition to her parents, William and Myrtle Smith, Audrey was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Mr. Dennis Eugene Ralston, Sr.; one son, Scott Ralston; and three siblings, Robert Smith, Alan Smith, and Bryan Smith.
She is survived by three children, Sandra Saxton, Sherry Ralston-Landry, and Dennis E. Ralston, Jr.; five grandchildren, Sheena, Sabrina, Shauna, Sierra, and David; 12 great grandchildren, Mason, Ansley, Ayvee, Asher, Aaden, Tori, Haden, Kolton, Bentley, Lillianna, Malachi, and Sebastian; and one sister, Paula Fencetmaker.
