Beatrice M. Henry

She was born Thelma Beatrice McCall on January 2, 1936 in Franklin, North Carolina to the late Laura Cleo Carnes McCall and Charles Clifford McCall.

Beatrice, affectionately known as Bea, was born in a log cabin on Walnut Creek in Gneiss, a township of Macon County, North Carolina. She moved to Stockbridge, Georgia in 1953. She married the love of her life, Jesse Carl Henry on June 13, 1959. They were more than happily married for 59 years. Bea was a devoted and dedicated member of Stockbridge Assembly of God since 1954 where she served many roles, from Sunday school teacher to bookkeeper and treasurer. She retired from her full-time role in 2004, but served as needed until she was no longer able. Bea loved the Lord and her church. She also loved her family and she loved all people.

In addition to her parents, Clifford and Cleo McCall, Bea was preceded in death by her infant son; her beloved husband, Mr. Jesse Carl Henry; three brothers, Wayne, Wendell and Larry McCall; and three sisters, Marie Shelton, Faye McKenzie, and Louise Stanley. She leaves to cherish her memory one son, Roger Henry; in-laws, Frankie Taylor, Perry Henry, David and Dorothy Henry, Lillie Brown, and numerous nieces and nephews along with their families.

A visitation of family and friends will be held for Beatrice on Thursday, June 22, 2023 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home - Fairview Chapel | 376 Fairview Road Stockbridge, Georgia 30281. A second visitation will occur Friday, June 23, 2023 from 11:00 AM followed by a celebration of her life at 12:00 PM in Ward's Chapel. Services will conclude with a graveside committal service at Fairview Memorial Gardens | 164 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281.
