Betty thoroughly enjoyed her work as the personnel manager supporting employees of 3 Georgia plants for over 35 years with McCracken Industries/Stone Mountain handbags. She had a unique style and a smile that could light up a room. Betty lived up to her name, which means beauty, from the homecoming court at East Atlanta High School to remaining coordinated in dress until the day she died. She possessed a loving heart & compassion for all she encountered, including a life-long love of animals & friends. Betty was able to prepare a full catered event yet could easily play in the dirt gardening. She appreciated a well accessorized outfit, an antique, a good meal, & a good nap. Over the years, you would routinely find her relaxing in the mountains or on the beach yet surprisingly might find her dancing with Elvis at Pilgreen’s. Betty will be greatly missed by so many friends & family.
She was preceded in death by husband L. Leon Bryan of 49 years; son Heathe Bryan; parents Elbert & Willie Jones; and sibling E. Harrell Jones.
She is survived by: daughter, Tiffany [Brian] Starnes; grandchildren Valerie [Chris] Tucker, Ashton Starnes; godson Kevin Willis; great grandson Paul Tucker; and beloved nephews, a niece, cousins and close friends.
