Betty Jo Hinkle, age 88, of Sunny Side, Georgia, passed away on August 22, 2024. Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, Betty graduated from O'Keefe High School. She was a devoted fan of the Atlanta Braves and the Georgia Bulldogs and cherished family gatherings, where she often showcased her love for cooking, inspired by her favorite shows on the Food Channel. Betty was a loving wife, mother, and "Memaw," whose warmth and care touched the lives of all who knew her.
She is survived by her husband of 71 years, Thomas Paul Hinkle; her four children, Cheryle Bailey (Paul), Brenda Hill (Jeff), Tom Hinkle (Sherry), and Wanda Hollandsworth; nine grandchildren, Jeff, Shannon, Jason, Philip, Zach, Audrey, Gabe, Amanda, and Chris; and 13 great-grandchildren.
Betty’s memory will live on in the hearts of her family and all who had the privilege of knowing her.

A visitation of family and friends will be held for Betty on Monday, August 26, 2024 from 12:00 PM to 2:00 PM at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home - Fairview Chapel | 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281. A celebration of her life will immediately follow the visitation in Ward's Chapel. Services will conclude with a graveside committal at Fairview Memorial Gardens | 164 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, Georgia 30281. Chaplain Tom Lee, officiating.
