Boyd “Alex” Poteat passed away on June 15, 2015 in Barnesville, Georgia at the age of 90. Alex is survived by his loving wife, Doris B. Poteat; children, Ed and Glenda Poteat, Miriam and Kent Kilgore, Rose Robinson, Debbie Brady, Dede and Jack Smith; 12 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren; and 2 great great grandchildren. He was a faithful member of the First Baptist Church of Stockbridge. Visitation is Tuesday, June 16 from 5-7 pm at Horis A Ward Funeral Home. Funeral Services will be held Wednesday, June 17 at 2:00 pm in the chapel of Horis A. Ward Funeral Home. Entombment will follow in the Fairview Memorial Gardens cemetery.
