Connie...this is Beth Thurmond. Don't know whether or not you remember me but your mother and I were the dearest of friends for many years. You and your brothers were often at my home and your Mom took care of my girls, Stacie and Nicole, for several years while I worked. In fact, she quite likely might be responsible for saving my oldest daughter's life when she had to have an emergency appendectomy. My overwhelming memory of Carole is how much we laughed. Oh my gosh, never ending. And...I reconnected with her shortly after your Dad died and throughout our conversation we were laughing so hard telling stories we could hardly talk.  My thoughts are with you, Rodney and Dewey. I LOVED your mother. Always a bright spot in my life.

A very honest and generous woman will be missed not only by her beloved family and devoted friends but on-lookers and those whom she never got to really know.  May peace be yours even during this sad period, and reflections from the Giver of every good gift and perfect present--James 1:17--was she not a gift to you?

In addition to her faith in God, abundance of compassion and warmth of spirit I will also remember Carol's sense of humor. One of my favorite memories is travelling to GA to celebrate my mom's birthday with Carol and videotaping the celebration only to give the tape to my mom the next day. :)

Mrs. Nichols was one of the most generous, kind, and talented people I have ever met. I have so many wonderful childhood memories courtesy of the Nichols Family.  May God Bless and watch over Connie, Rod, Dewey and their families during this difficult time.

I never had the opportunity to meet Carol Ann Nichols in person. I did however have the pleasure of working with her son Rodney as my partner for a few years. During that time he became closer to me than my own blood relatives. He is one of the best men I've known in my life. I know that was a direct reflection of how he was raised. Rest well with our father in Heaven Carol, you are surly missed on this Earth but your time here was a blessing for many. Alan V.

I will so miss sitting in the pew with Carol on Sundays.  She had a bright light and made everyone she knew feel loved.  I will treasure the crafts she made that I have.

Ms. Carol has been my neighbor for the past 17 years.  I had the honor and pleasure of getting to know both she and Mr. Gerald more intimately over the past 6 years. Truly the epitome of what good neighbors should be.  She will be missed tremendously.  Thoughts and prayers to all of her loved ones during this difficult time. - The Ferrell Family

Mrs. Carol was my neighbor for 30 years, she was always kind pleasant and loveable .  you will be truly missed . Love you RIH .The Whitaker Family

First of all, she loved God and the Blessed Virgin Mary. Her family was so important to her. She used to tell Bobbie Akers and  I all about the family when we would get together at Bobbies to  use our oil paints. Carol's paintings were the prettiest, of course.

Carol is mama and daddy's friend for years ( Hank and Bobbie Akers ) I loved her and she was a wonderful friend to the Akers family!  So sorry to here of Carol's passing. I will be praying for you and your family and God  , Jesus and Mary has another Angel in Heaven!!
