Charles "Chuck" William Poole, II

Chuck loved motorsports, whether by land or sea. His love for racing was kick-started by a Soapbox Derby he won at a very young age in Akron, Ohio. He later began racing motocross and go-karts, and was the reigning champion at Friday night drags with his blue Chevy. Chuck was a talented mechanic, contractor, and entrepreneur. He loved his cars, his family, and his many friends. He was quite the charismatic problem solver and someone you could always depend on, whatever the reason may be. Chuck had a unique charm and zest for life, like no other. He will be sorely missed by all who had the privilege of knowing him.

Chuck was preceded in death by his grandfather, of whose namesake he was, Mr. Charles William Poole, grandmother Odell Guthrie Poole, father Harry C. Poole, mother Eva Bradley Poole, and one sister Donna Poole. He is survived by his life partner, Debbye Grice; two children, Cody Poole and Summer Poole (Caleb Satterfield); one sister, Stephanie Poole; three grandchildren, Stryder Satterfield, Halle Jones, and Abel Jones; one niece, Erin Monaghan and two nephews, Matthew Brown and Evan Clifton; as well as a host of extended family and dear friends.

A visitation of family and friends will be held for Chuck on Thursday, February 24, 2022 from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home - Fairview Chapel | 376 Fairview Road Stockbridge, Georgia 30281. A celebration of his life will occur Friday, February 25, 2022 at 1:00 PM in Ward's Chapel. Services will conclude with a graveside committal immediately following the funeral in Fairview Memorial Gardens | 164 Fairview Road Stockbridge, Georgia 30281. Pastor Ken Davidson, officiating.
