Today is 3yrs  and is still as heartbreaking  as the day you left ! I miss you more and more everyday!  I love you Danny and wish everyday that you could come back.  We will meet again when this life is over.  Until then I will hold you in my heart! 💔

Danny this has been the saddest, longest two years of my life! I miss you so much the hole you left is just as big. We was suppose to grow older together but I know you was tired and suffered all you could.  The only peace I have is knowing you suffer no more. Rest that perfect rest and have that perfect peace and someday soon we will meet again and part no more.  I love you my sweet Danny boy!!❤💔

I can’t believe I haven’t spoken to you in two years! I miss your jokes, your giggles...I miss you. I can feel my heart break daddy. You should be here and life ain’t fair. Oh daddy,  I miss you so much I can’t stand it. Someone told me that when you dream of your lost loved one and they hug you and talk to you it’s them letting you know everything is okay...not to long ago I had a dream and even in my dream I knew you were not suppose to be here I kept asking over and over in shock what you were doing here...you put your arms around me and said “well hon I was just checking on you” and I woke up in such a panic because I wanted that to be real so bad. We’ve went thru so many holidays already without you and I can’t stand it. I need to hear your funny jokes, saying peace sista to momma, playing with the girls. I would give anything for you to call me just to check on me, or to come and save me from a lizard in the house. I sure hope your having the time of your life where you are. I just know you are fishing and fixing bicycles with pawpaw..you probably cut the grass to. Just know that we love and miss you down here something fierce...if only we could go back in time I never would’ve let you go.

Missing you so much Danny it's so hard with you not here. The holidays are the hardest  we're trying but it will never be the same. This void no one will ever fill. I love you!

It's been four heartbreaking months since you left and my heart breaks over and over. I miss you so very very much and wish I could turn back the hands of time. Tomorrow you would have had your 61st birthday .  The only comfort I have is knowing you suffer no more and that you are at sweet peace. Until we meet again in a place where we will know as we are known I love you, I miss you, and my heart aches for you. Hey daddy, I wish I could’ve had one more day with you. One day where we could’ve done all your favorite things. We would’ve went fishing, went to zestos or Waffle House. I would’ve gotten you some donuts, we could’ve went bunging jumping..you said you would do it this year with me on vacation. You could’ve drove the boat down at the beach. There’s so many things I needed you here for daddy...I have cried and hurt for you everyday. There is a hole inside of me that will never be filled, I scramble thru pictures and videos just to hear your voice. It’s been so long since I’ve heard you ...losing you is killing me. The girls miss you so much and talk about you everyday. They still pray for you at meal time and have cried themselves to sleep over you being gone. I remember asking you every time we turned on our old dirt road if I could help you drive the old truck and then one day when I was a little older with out warning you pulled over in that black Toyota and I asked what you were doing and you said you gonna learn how to drive today those are a few things I will never forget and it’s something I now do with Scarlett I love ya old man 

Daddy, it’s been one month since you have left. Time hasn’t changed anything..I still hurt just like the day you left. We y’all about you all day and the girls still pray for you. We miss you more than words can ever describe..mommas trying to make it but she needs you home. I need you home. I look back at all my pictures and your in them somewhere maybe not where I can see your face but you’re there. Your memory is so precious and I promise I will always uphold it! You will always be in my conversations, I will constantly remind the girls of you..I will even count their toes. I miss you so much daddy. I love you so much.

As a little girl I watched Danny and my daddy spend the weekends outside working on anything and everything. In the evenings, after dinner, we’d all play Scrabble or card games like UNO. I always managed to beat Danny at UNO, but I think he might’ve had something to do with that. 
When I was in 6th grade, I had trouble with a binder. The clasps wouldn’t line up to close. It was normal and didn’t bother me because binders were replaceable and I’d get a new one soon. That bothered Danny so badly though, so he went out and bought me a whole new set of school supplies. Every morning, when I rode to school with Trina, he had a honeybun and a coke ready for me to go. “Don’t forget a water bottle- get one from the back. That’s where they’re coldest.” 
Things have been different for a long time. There were things Danny wasn’t able to do anymore, but he was more than happy to pull up and chair (and like Paw Paw said) “supervise”. He always wanted to help and to be a part of the project. I look in our backyard and see nothing that he didn’t touch. 
He and my daddy called each other Dummy. To most people, that sounds so rude- to them it was like calling each other Brother. I miss hearing that being yelled across the yard. I miss the weekends spent together with junk food, Scrabble, and late nights. 
Things changed a lot with time, but being family never did. We all supported each other through illness and life and major life changes. Now we will support and love one another through this loss.  
He isn’t gone though. We carry him through every moment of every day. Every breath, every tear, every laugh. He’s everywhere even though we can’t see or hear him. We miss him and love him always. 

Danny was my uncle. Danny was a very kind person who always cared about everybody. He would always want to know how I was doing and often it was when he didn't feel well himself. He would put others over his own needs. Danny was also a very funny person. Always cracking jokes and often they were at his own expense. We would always rib each other about who would be the last person picked for our annual family Thanksgiving football team.  And he said as long as was I  playing he never would be picked last. Never missed a chance to kid with you. But one year he didn't feel like playing so I told him he could be a cheerleader. My attempt at getting back at him. One year we were all waiting on him and his family to show up for our Thanksgiving meal.  And mamo, his mother and my grandmother, always wanted to eat on time. So Danny pulls up about thirty minutes late and come to find out he had stooped at McDonald's on the way because he was hungry.  Only Danny.....    But his best quality was the way he adored his wife and kids.  And later his grand kids. He worshipped the ground they all walked on. And to my Aunt Katrina and cousins Brittney and Jeremy... thank you for always taking such good care of him and loving him. He was sick a long time and y'all always loved on him and took good care of him. So while we will miss him he is no longer suffering and one day all of us believers will reunite with him and mamo and my mother and be together forever. What a glorious day that will be!

I have so many memories it would take days for me to write them all down..you were always so funny even when you were sick. You made the best grilled cheese sandwiches! We love and miss you so much daddy!

Loved your humor.  As a child, I don’t think heard the word ‘knucklehead’ more than when I was around you.  Being a young kid in such a secluded area, it was the highlight of my week when you’d bring Jeremy and Britney to play for a while.

 I remember when you first bought the property you’re on now and took me on a walk through the woods to show me the property lines and getting to watch you work on cutting up so many stumps as you cleared the land.

You raised some excellent kids who grew into awesome adults.  I regret not spending mote time together throughout the years.  I’m glad I came to the hospital that day, it was just you and I for about an hour.  I could tell in your reactions you wanted to talk.   I’m just glad ome of my final memories of you was me joking with you, and talking about your beautiful grandkids and you smiled.   

You will be missed greatly!

Danny came into our lives when I was a little girl. I will always remember his first little house he had while they were dating. It looked like a doll house and I got to help them clean it. Before long they were married and he took away my sister, but I got to tag along a lot. We went to movies and out to Zestos a lot, he never minded me being involved. Later they gave me my first nephew and then a niece and I spent even more time at their house.  Danny loved making everyone laugh. One day at a cook out he pretended to wreck a bicycle up a tree and laid on the ground all the kids were in awe of how he rode it up the tree! Danny was a great friend to Bryan and they had lots of adventures together, even in Food Depot! He always made his way around to everyone at family dinners and cook outs (after stealing my deviled eggs) he would reminisce about some old family story with us. I know he is no longer suffering, now that is left for us to do. We will all miss you Danny, no one more than Trina, Bubba, Brit and your grandbabies. I will miss how you always purposely said little words wrong...”Sweetheaaat”  We are sad now but It is not goodbye, it is simply Buckle up and Beep the horn- save us a spot, we love you buddy! 

Danny boy you’ll be missed because of the man you was. Always made me feel welcome and willing to give up time from Katrina so we could do our girlie stuff. Thought a lot of you and hope you knew it I’ll never forget the first time I came after loosing Jerry you asking Trina if it be alright if you hugged my neck , said you was sorry and if I ever needed anything just ask and you’d try your best to help. That meant a lot. Then when I was looking for a place offered me to move in with y’all. And of course all the times you’d picked on me about being short.( think Jeremy gonna take care of that for you now) Hope you knew how much I appreciated everything and thought a lot of you.RIP  Buddy high hopes of seeing you again

Danny you will be missed. You are a great Papa to the girls. You would let them run all over you and love every minute of it. I loved the way you would have tea parties, make overs or let the girls have their way with you. They will miss you greatly. I will miss all the times you had esp or knew where someone was going to be and they would turn around and there you are. I will always remember you turning your life around and began praying and seeking the Lord, I'm thankful. I will miss your willingness to help or lend a hand especially when it came to yard work.  Danny you will be missed but always remembered.

I’m not sure how I came to call him this, but Ol’ Bald head always made me laugh. He was a great man and I used to love cutting up with him when I’d come over to spend the night with my best friend, Britney. Him and Trina both always made me feel so welcome and like I was a part of their family. I’m going to miss coming up to him at parties and get togethers and asking him how ol’ bald head was doing and seeing that sweet little smile creep onto his face. 🖤

Danny was so sweet and funny. He made the kids laugh and told me every time he saw me how special they are and how good it is that all the kids get to grow up together. He called cooper his little buddy and it made cooper feel special.  

Danny, You were always a good brother-in-law to me and Terry. You were good at telling stories and jokes to make us laugh.  And we could count on you to be there at birthday parties and holidays enjoying time together... I'll miss sending you your very own bowl of potato salad. We love and will miss you.

I’ve always loved coming to my Aunt Trina and Uncle Danny’s house, ever since I was a small child. I remember cracking my head open on our fireplace when I was little because I couldn’t go to a bonfire at their house when I was little. He always laughed at how silly we all were and to see him cut up with my Daddy was to see 2 absolute loons just making their families laugh. He seemed always had vanilla wafers and always offered some to me. My heart breaks for my precious Aunt. I keep thinking back to swimming parties, him grilling out, going to the chrome shop with him and my Daddy, all those trips around the state looking for the perfect book bag, the drive in movie theatre, and front porch sitting listening to Jerry Reed, HUGE family vacations in PCB. I have so many good memories and he’s always in the background somewhere. He will truly be missed and I have SO much love for all the broken hearts he left behind.

One of the first times I ever came over to Trina and Danny’s house Trina was cooking dinner and I asked Danny what they were having and he said he had ten eggs scrambled. I exclaimed “Ten eggs?!” He cracked his usual smile and said “Yep, I love eggs.”

Growing up we spent a lot of time building cars in his backyard,  y’all always made all of us feel welcome, he always smiled and had a good story to tell us,  and never complained about our cars being torn apart in his yard lol.  He was a truly good person, 

God Bless and comfort you and your family!  Katrina, I don't know what you are going through because I haven't been through it, but I know what it is to loose Parents and two brothers, and I would think this is much, much worse.  I am praying for Gods will to be done.  It sounds like Danny is ready to go, praise God.  Praying God's comfort for you and family.  I remember your and Danny's beautiful wedding,  with heart felt  good memories.  I love you and your family, Carolyn

I known danny for a lot of years. he has been through a lot(falls,broke bones, and much more) but he has always been a fighter. i can still feel him every time i walk into his house and i can almost hear him say"hi buddy", "you want a drink", " grab a honey bun and a dr. pepper or some kool aid" and i can almost see  us going out to his barn and getting ready to mow the grass or rack leaves or to weed eat or to trim the hedges. he would always clean the house so his wife could come home and sit in a clean house and never have to worry about something like the dishes being dirty he would do it! he loved his gospel cds, law and order, and going outside to work. he taught me how to do hard work and get the job right the first time, he taught me to mow grass, and to trim the hedges and to do a crossword puzzles. 

So sorry for your loss I love yall and I think that heaven gained another great person I know my sweet daddy loved him so very much. There together now no suffering no pain no more. Hopefully one day we will be able to see them again.

I am heartbroken. It’s so hard to say the words, my father in law, Danny, has passed on to heaven, but I am thankful that he is at peace now, and his fight is over. I’ve heard so many stories of how he was such a hard working man and would sacrifice so much to make sure his family was okay, and I know this to be true because his son, my (I’m going to say husband) is just the same way, a great man that would do anything for his family. I know that even through all the pain in recent years, he would be there at every event, every birthday, no matter what. A tough man who loved his family til the end. I am thankful for him, and will miss him terribly.

Uncle Danny was such a sweet guy.  I would go to visit him and he would always take his time out to do things with me.  He would take me places and take me out to eat or for ice cream.  He was always really nice to me even though I know I was a little bratty kid.  I love him and will miss him.  RIH. You were a great guy.  
  

My favorite memory of Mr. Kenney is when his granddaughter, Scarlett, was born.  He watched his son, Jeremy, in the hospital nursery, feeding his daughter, and he said "look at that!", as if he was in awe of what he was seeing. It was so sweet.  I will always be grateful for what a good grandfather he was to Emily, Dylan and Scarlett.  Rest in peace in the arms of Jesus.

Danny always had an unselfish and sweet spirit.  I always enjoyed our fellowship at birthday parties and being in service for the Lord.  A memory that I will cherish is when he blessed me with a CD of gospel music. He let me know that he would be in prayer for me for the loss of my mother in law.  Sister Trina and the entire family will be in my prayers.  I love y’all 

Danny was a very sweet man. He was always there for a hug when someone needed one. He made everyone feel special (we were all # 1 something to him). Danny had the best stories to tell, always made us laugh. Danny, we love you and will miss you so very much.  We will all see you again one day!

I knew Trina most of her life and met Danny when they married. He was a kind and gentle man that always spoke to me where ever i saw him. In later years when he faced sickness he was tall and sometimes frail looking but he faced the things that happened to him with calmness and i thought of him as a very strong man for the way he faced his sickness..Danny will be missed  by all of us that knew him.God bless his family that he loved so much and they loved him..To be absent from the body is to be present with the Lord..Until that meeting in the air RIP Danny..

Uncle Danny, thank you for always making me and my family feel special.  We could always count on you to be at our birthday parties and gatherings wearing a smile. Leah and Jacey really loved you and how you always made them feel important. I'm so sorry you had to suffer with your health down through the years.  I will remember  you for the gospel CD you gave me and for loving the song "Heaven's Really Gonna Shine".  I'll always remember you asking me since I was a kid "what are the chickens doin?" I'd always say "eatin dinner" and how we talked about "Duke a barkin"... precious memories. Love and miss you Uncle Danny.

Saying goodbye to this man is the most heart breaking thing I will ever do. I already miss him so very much. He has suffered so much over that last 20 yrs. And always kept going bouncing back over and over until this time his body just said no more. About two weeks ago Danny told me " I'm tired Trina I'm tired of falling and getting hurt I'm tired of not being able to ever go out side and work. I want to feel normal." He began to make ammends with everyone and prayed alot everyday he loved listening to his favorite Gaithers CD.  God knew his heart and heard his cries and even tho we didn't understand and never wanted him to leave God knew best. I am thankful he no longer is suffering and feels no more pain. I have high hopes to be reunited some day soon! I love you so much my sweet Danny rest in sweet peace until we meet again!

 I am so thankful that you are the man I get to call daddy, you did everything in your power to see we had a good life and I want to thank you for everything. You will always be in my heart. I love you so much I hope I can be at least half the man you are! YOU ARE MY HERO we are going to miss you so much! 

I don’t have one specific memory to share but Every time I seen Danny he would make a joke or something to make us laugh. He was always kind to me. My oldest daughter spent plenty of time at the Kenny household when she was growing up. He was always cutting up with her and making her feel welcome. He loved his family and it showed. The last time I talked with him he shared is love for going to church and his new love for Christian music. He was a good man and will be missed. Until we meet again!

I remember every time I would see Danny at Christmas or a birthday party at Gina's, I would always be sure to go to him first for a hug and he would say to me every time "I was waiting for you to come give me a hug". He gave the warmest hugs. 

Oh my sweet sweet daddy, how I will miss you so much. You are the strongest man I know and I love you so much. Your grand babies couldn’t of had a better papa...buckle up and beep the horn . I love you.

Danny W. Kenney, age 60 of Griffin, Georgia, passed away on March 18, 2019. He was born to the late James and Doris Kenney in Atlanta, Georgia on July 19, 1958. 

He leaves to cherish his memory his loving wife of 38 years; Katrina Kenney, his son; Jeremy (Kat) Kenney, his daughter; Britney (Brian) King, six grandchildren; Emily, Dylan, Scarlett, Bella, Abby and Izzy, his four brothers; Larry, Kenneth, Tim and Wayne, one sister; Joan and a host of other relatives and friends.
