Dear Father, there is a season and time for everything in this world.
Today you have granted us a chance to celebrate David’s life, and we want
to say thank you. Even though we are finding it hard to accept what has
happened, we know that everything works
out together for good.
We ask that you give us the peace and strength to share the beautiful
moments that we shared with David
-
as today is a tough day for us all.
Accepting the fact that over the next few minutes we are going to be saying
our farewell
to David is so difficult.... But we choose to gather here to both
worship you and to celebrate the life of David Livingston Johnson, whom
you have given us and have now called.
As we reflect on his life, and what he meant to each of us, help us all
rememb
er that this is not a day of mourning for David, but a day of
celebration for a life that touched us all. We celebrate the memories we
will always have and cherish.
Please hear our words and give us strength, in Jesus' name, Amen

Heavenly Father,
Our stories are told, but our celebration for the life of David will not end
here.
We ask that you receive David into your kingdom, to experience joyful
fellowship with those who have gone before, and especially with the love
of
his life, his bride, his Miss Betty.
Truly this earth is not our home, we are all just passing through. We look
forward to our eternal home where all tears are wiped away and our
struggles and death are no more

and although we look forward to being
reunited with our loved ones, none of us are eager to make that journey
early, even though we know for some of us, “it won’t be as long as it has
been”.
We commend into your loving hands the soul of David Livingston Johnson
and we pray that he can watch o
ver us, just as you also watch over all living
things. We pray that you give him the continued peace and deeper
understanding that he deserves, and you give to each of us the strength to
endure without him in 

Mr. David Johnson was and still is way more better than a friend  he is my second father ill really miss that, he is one of the best,I have ALOT OF RESPECT FOR HIM  always will.  R.I.P. Pappa Dave I LOVE YOU

Al and I have such fond memories of the Johnson family reunions especially when David rode with us to NC.  He was entertaining and never complained.  It was fun to hear David and his brother Harold reminisce.  Such a remarkable man….a remarkable life!

David was a very special man and I cherish every moment that I got to share with him.  He was one of the most wonderful Dads I have every meet. David was a fantastic husband, a Great Grandfather, and a sweet father-in-law. My thoughts and prayers are with you all.
