

Dorothy Moody Faircloth, age 80, of Jonesboro passed away Saturday, December 14, 2013 due to complications following a recent fall. She is now joyfully reunited with her husband Josh and their son Jay. A graduate of Rutherford Hospital School of Nursing in Rutherfordton, NC, she worked as a Labor and Delivery nurse throughout her career. Married to the love of her life, Josh Faircloth, for 57 years until his passing on June 9, 2012, they will be able to celebrate their 59th anniversary together again on Christmas Eve in heaven. She is survived by her 4 children: Karen ( Richard ) Boullain, Lance ( Terrie ) Faircloth, Cindy ( Ronnie ) Roach, and Jill ( John ) Martin ; daughter-in-law Shelia-Marie ( Johnny ) Johnson, and a multitude of grandchildren and great grandchildren. She was also preceded in death by her parents Bill and Daphine Moody, siblings JK ( Kay ) Moody, Jr., David Moody, and Nean Moody. The family will receive friends on Friday, December 20 from 2-4 and 6-8 PM at Horis A. Ward Fairview Chapel. Mrs. Faircloth will lie in state at Ellenwood Oaks Community Church (formerly First Baptist Church of Ellenwood) on Saturday, December 21 from 10:00 till 11:00 AM with funeral service starting at 11:00 AM with Rev. Dan Holley and Rev. Norman Drummond officiating. In lieu of flowers contributions may be made to Ellenwood Oaks Community Church in her memory.
