Enrique Decourtney Barber

Enrique had a deep love for music and art, using both as a way to express himself and connect with others. Whether he was creating, listening, or sharing his passion, music was a constant part of his life and spirit. He had a vibrant energy that made him the life of the party—someone who could light up any room and bring people together with laughter and joy.

Above all, Enrique was a devoted father to his three children, who meant everything to him. He cherished every moment with them and took great pride in being a loving and present dad. He was also a loyal friend—someone people could count on, someone who made life feel fuller just by being in it.

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Lloyd and Audrah George, and Arleaner Marie and Kalep Barber Sr.

He is survived by his children, Aaliyah Barber; his mother and stepfather, Granata and Carl Taylor; his father and stepmother, Rick and Gail Barber; his sister and brother-in-law, Ashley and Jason Mahan; his stepbrother, Terrance Johnson, along with many cherished step‑siblings; his niece and nephew, Kennedy and Kayson; and many other family members and friends who loved him dearly.

Enrique will always be remembered as an amazing man and an extraordinary father whose presence brought light into every room he entered. His creativity knew no bounds; his energy was contagious, and his love for life inspired everyone who had the privilege of knowing him.

More than anything, Enrique will be remembered for the love he gave so freely and wholeheartedly to those around him. He had a way of making people feel seen, valued, and deeply cared for. His impact on our lives is immeasurable, and the memories we shared with him will forever live in our hearts.

He enriched our lives in countless ways, and his absence leaves a space that can never truly be filled. We will miss him dearly, but we are grateful for the time, love, and joy he gave us all.

In lieu of flowers, the family kindly requests donations be made in Enrique’s honor to support sickle cell anemia awareness and research.

Memorial services will be held Saturday, April 25, 2026 at 2:00pm at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home | 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge, GA 30281
