Fred is survived by his beloved wife Jane Byars, his sister Elizabeth Brooks, daughters Jan Byars, Kathy Dennis, Tiffany Wise and Amber McCullough, sons Deano Byars, Mell Taylor and Chad Taylor. He is also survived by 4 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren and many nieces and nephews. He is preceded in death by parents Gladys and Samuel Byars, and son Ricky Taylor.
Fred was born on July 14th, 1934 in Eatonton, GA to Gladys Fuller and Samuel Byars. He married Jane on April 8th 1976. He loved Nascar, football, golf, and bowling. He also loved the mountains, Panama City Beach and going on cruises.
A funeral is scheduled for December 10th, 2014 at Horis A. Ward Fairview Chapel at 2pm in Stockbridge, GA with a reception to follow at their home in Conyers, GA. Pastor Mike Franklin will officiate the ceremony. All are welcome to attend and celebrate Fred’s life.
