Gary Lee Green, of Stockbridge, died peacefully on March 15, surrounded by his family and close friends. He was born January 18, 1949 to Willard and Marilyn Green. He enjoyed his 40-year career as a specialist in ornamental iron welding and metal fabrication in Atlanta, GA. He loved music and entertaining family and friends with playing his guitar and singing Elvis Presley songs and other classic country songs. His recent hobby was restoring his 1959 Ford F-150 custom –cab. Gary embraced life and lived his to the fullest. He is preceded in death by his father, Willard L. Green. He is survived by his mother, Marilyn Gray Green, beloved wife of 23 years, Maria, children, Sabrina Dunn, Marilyn “Lynn” Green, Mike Sweeney, Michelle McCullough, and Melissa Nelson. He is also survived by his two sisters, Nancy McLaren and Terri Dobbins, brother, Steve Green, 8 grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. The family will receive friends on Sunday, March 17 at the funeral home from 4-8pm. Funeral services will be held on Monday, March 18 at 11:00am, at Horis A. Ward Fairview Chapel, 376 Fairview Road, Stockbridge.
