Dear Penny.  My heart felt sympathy to you, Laura, and Leslie for your loss.  Clarke was a good man, and a great husband and father.  I wish I had the power to somehow ease the heartbreak and sadness, but only time and the good memories can do that. My heart was broken to hear of the loss of Clarke. He was always faithful to come to the Johnson reunions. Always loved seeing you. My first thoughts of Clarke after I received the news, was, he was such a "gentle soul" in nature. He was a wonderful man with a good heart. That is the way I will always remember him. May you find comfort in the days to come that our separation is only temporary. One glorious day we will have a great reunion. May your family find comfort in the love you shared and the beautiful memories made over the years. He will forever be in your hearts, thoughts and dreams. Thank God for our dreams that let us visit our loved ones. I'm sorry that I'm not able to be with you as you celebrate Clarke's life. But know, I send my love and prayers to you. Penny and family, we are so sorry to hear about the passing of Clark. He was such a strong Christian man and loving family man. He will certainly be missed by all who knew him.  We always looked forward to visiting with all of you at the Douthit reunions and other gatherings.  Please accept our sincere condolences.

Penny, Laura and Lezli, we are so sorry to hear of your loss!  Clark was always so very special to us and my Mom remembers him helping cook for youth camps as some of the best times ever.  I think he and Daddy gave her a run for her money in that kitchen!  Please know that our thoughts and prayers are with you that God will give you all only the comfort and peace that He can provide!
