Mr. James Robert “Bob” Linton, U.S. Army retired E-9, age 82, of Hampton, Ga., passed away Dec. 28, 2011 at his residence. Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, Dec. 31, at 2 p.m. in the Fairview Chapel of Horis A. Ward Funeral Home with Pastors Norman Pyle, Brad Blanton and Bob Schmutzler officiating. Interment will follow in Fairview Memorial Gardens will full military honors. Mr. Linton is survived by his wife, Velma Linton; daughters, Sandra Linton of Hampton, Barbara and Lamar Tomlinson of Middleburg, FL, Karen and Chuck Smith of Griffin, Ga., Tracey and Gary Harris of Newnan, Ga.; sons, Larry and Vickie Linton of Newnan, Ga. and Andrew and Susan Linton of Statesville, NC; 13 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren; brother, Johnnie and Floy Linton of Tyrone, Ga. The family will receive friends on Friday, Dec. 30, from 2-4 p.m. and 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home. Horis A.
