John James (Jim) Watkins, Jr., age 76, of Monticello, passed away May 29, 2010. He was a former golf club professional at Little Mountain and Lake Spivey Golf Clubs. Surviving are wife, Betty Allred Watkins of Monticello; 2 sons: Jamie and Sherri Watkins, Locust Grove and Mark and Joni Watkins of McDonough; grandchildren Chad, Jay, Katie, Aaron; great-granddaughter, Riley; 1 sister, Susan and Jimmy Hyde, Ellenwood; 2 brothers, Ken and Betty Watkins of McDonough, Charlie and Jean Watkins of Monticello; sister-in-law Cricket Watkins of Monroe, 2 step-sons, Randy Allred, Shannon and Angela Allred; step-grandchildren Kayla, Alyssa and Amber Lee. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, June 1, 2010, 11AM from Wards Fairview Chapel, Alec Ward, officiating. Interment Fairview Memorial Gardens.
