Johnny C. Sparks, 85, of McDonough passed away on Sunday, January 16, 2011. Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, January 19, 2011 at 3:00 pm in the chapel of Horis A. Ward's Fairview Chapel in Stockbridge with Rev. Bill Barnett, Rev. Howard Alexander and Pastor Brian Dale officiating. Interment will follow at Fairview Memorial Gardens.
Mr. Sparks served our country proudly in the US Army during WWII.
He is survived by his wife, Jessie Sparks; daughters, Carol (Adron) Deal of McDonough, Lynn (Mike) Gresham of Covington; 5 grandchildren; 6 great-grandchildren.
Johnny was preceded in death by his son, Johnny (Kirk) Sparks and parents, Henry and Bessie Sparks.
The family will receive friends on Tuesday, January 18th at the funeral home from 4-8 PM.
