Joseph Alton Jones

Joey was born June 17, 1968 in Crowley, Louisiana. He was a loving man who believed it was more of a blessing to GIVE than to receive. He exemplified this point every day of his life. Joey was loved beyond measure and will be missed by all who knew him.

"The point is this: The person who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and the person who sows generously will also reap generously. Each person should do as he has decided in his heart—not reluctantly or out of compulsion, since God loves a cheerful giver." 2 Corinthians 9:6-7 CSB

Joey was preceded in death by one brother, Mikey Coleman and one nephew, Blake Coleman. He is survived by his mother, Ruth Anne Taylor; father, Larry Coleman; four brothers, Jason Coleman, Shawn Coleman, Ryan Coleman, and James Coleman; two sisters, Michelle Hardeman (Jeff) and Renee Spears; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

A visitation of family and friends will be held for Joey on Wednesday, December 21, 2022 from 11:00 AM to 1:00 PM at Horis A. Ward Funeral Home - Fairview Chapel | 376 Fairview Road Stockbridge, Georgia 30281. A celebration of his life will occur Wednesday, December 21, 2022 at 1:00 PM in Ward's Chapel. Services will conclude with a graveside committal at Fairview Memorial Gardens | 164 Fairview Road Stockbridge, Georgia 30281.
