Juanita Geraldean Hester

Gerry was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 62 years, Kenneth “Bob” Hester.

Gerry was born and raised in Livingston, TN before moving to Detroit, MI for a time where she met Bob. They later moved to and set down permanent roots in Rex, GA where they lived for over 50 years. She adored her flower beds, her community of neighborhood friends and church ladies, but most importantly she loved her family and doted endlessly on her grandchildren. Gerry was also quite fond of both her camera and camcorder where she captured so many moments with everyone she met. Her photo taking habit was always a point of humor with loved ones, but these memories are something we are now all very grateful to have and cherish.

She is survived by her sister Christene Martin Swan, daughters Pamela Myers and Sonya Bright, as well as her grandchildren Cody Whitt, Sierra Hollar, Chelsea Reed, Asia Whitt, and Kailey Bright. She is also preceded in death by her parents, Lottie and Verlie Ferrell, and her sister, Wilma Epling Oakley.

Family and friends are invited to gather for visitation on Thursday, November 14th at 11:00am with the funeral service to immediately follow at 1:00pm. All services will be held at the Horis A. Ward Fairview Chapel located at 376 Fairview Rd, Stockbridge, GA 30281.
